Job Summary
Responsible and accountable for the continuous patient flow of Admissions and Discharges following SMH patient flow processes and addresses identified processes and/or other issues impeding the patient's flow from admission to discharge.
The incumbent demonstrates flexibility in patient assignment and unit coverage where care needed and promotes optimal patient and clinical outcomes by assessing and facilitating the effective management of care and ensuring standards of practice are met.

Hours of Work: In order to provide the necessary patient care, our operations run 24/7. There is the expectation that you are available to work weekdays, weekends and all shifts (days, nights, 12 hours).

Qualifications and Experience
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses (CNO) as a Registered Practical Nurse.
- Current BCLS required.
- Management of Aggressive Behaviour or equivalent preferred.
- Certificate in Gentle Persuasive Approach preferred.
- Recent (within the last 5 years) experience with case management/patient flow is preferred.
- Understanding of Lean processes/quality improvement an asset
