Grow Your Own Nurse Practitioner

The Greenstone Family Health Team in Geraldton, Ontario, is looking to sponsor a Registered Nurse (RN) to complete her/his post-graduate Primary Health Care NP (PHCNP) education, and subsequently fill the vacant position while fulfilling a return of service agreement (3 years).

CRITERIA:

1. The RN considering the GYONP must apply at one of the two points in time:

• After the RN has been accepted as a full-time student in a CNO recognized post graduate PHCNP education program. When the RN is entering year two as a full-time student of a CNO recognized post graduate PHCNP education program.

The RN must voluntarily agree to participate in the GYONP including entering into an agreement with the Greenstone Family Health Team to provide a return of service to fill the vacant position. The RN must live within 125 km or be willing to relocate to live within 125 km of the Greenstone Family Health Team. The RN must agree to the return of service agreement as outlined in the RoS section of the "Grow Your Own Nurse Practitioner Initiative Program Guidelines" and will enter into a return of service agreement with the Greenstone Family Health Team.
