Job Details
Working hands-on to full scope supported by multiple medical directives, the RPN is part of an interdisciplinary care team, supporting NPs and MDs, while mentored by team RNs.
This is an excellent role for an RPN ready to stretch their skills and explore unique applications of scope.
This is a Health Outreach team who often work in several areas of the city with individuals who have experienced barriers receiving medical & social supports.
This role provides team support to their assigned NP and/or MD with the assistance of a team RN and an RN Lead. This team rotates between providing services to rostered clients in our downtown clinic and providing walk-up services with our mobile clinic.
We have the flexibility to offer full time and part time hours to best suit your needs, including permanent or contract employment.

The compensation package
- A salary range of $52,000 - $57,000
- This position is part of the Community Commitment Program for Nurses (CCPN) which provides a $25,000 incentive to eligible nurses
- Monday to Friday - no weekends, no rotating shifts
- A Psychologically Safe and Inclusive Workplace
- 100% paid health & dental package, including up to $2,000/benefit year for mental health, $1,500 for massage therapy
- Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP)
- Paid sick and personal time, plus vacation up to 6 weeks

Required Qualifications
- Current registration to practice with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Understanding of the social determinants of health & health promotion
- Willingness to work with people of diverse backgrounds with an inclusive and anti-oppressive lens
Extras to tell us about
- Any experience in mental health care or working with people experiencing substance use disorders and/or housing insecurity
- Any phlebotomy skills
- French and other language skills are considered an asset in supporting the communities we serve
WHAT WE WILL TRAIN YOU ON
- How to practice from social justice, trauma and violence informed care, and harm reduction frameworks
- Clinical knowledge of mental health care, substance use, concurrent disorders, dual diagnoses, and application of current best practices, assessments and interventions
- Effective crisis prevention, intervention and stabilization skills
