Our Hospitals are proud participants of the Nursing Graduate Guarantee Program program.
We currently have Nursing Graduate Guarantee (RN) opportunities at the following sites:
The Nursing Graduate Guarantee (NGG) program is funded by the ministry and supports new Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses who are within 12 months of registering with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), by providing them with a temporary full-time employment opportunity, above staffing complement, to improve their transition into practice and into full-time employment.

Participation in the NGG program is open to nurses within 12 months of registering with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), as outlined below:
Canadian educated nurses who:
Internationally educated nurses (IENs) who:
To get started, eligible nurses must first visit the NGG online portal and register as a Nursing User.
Once registered, you will then be able to apply to posted positions on the NGG portal.

Have you completed a clinical placement with Grove Memorial Community Hospital, Louise Marshall Hospital, or Palmerston and District Hospital?
If you have, please connect with the unit manager or Human Resources to discuss your potential candidacy for the New Graduate Guarantee Program. Please note that you will still need to apply through the HFO Portal above.

The Nursing Graduate Guarantee (NGG) program is funded by the ministry and supports new Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses who are within 12 months of registering with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), by providing them with a temporary full-time employment opportunity, above staffing complement, to improve their transition into practice and into full-time employment.
The NGG program aims to:
- Support new nurses in Ontario as they transition into practice;
- Improve the integration of new nurses into the workforce;
- Promote the availability of full-time employment or the equivalent of full-time hours for new nurses; and
- Promote health workforce planning at the organizational level.
The NGG program at our hospitals consists of:
- Nursing and interprofessional orientation learning modules to support comprehensive understanding of Standards and Policies
- A competency based learning pathway and learning plan to support the nurse's learning needs
- 12 weeks of preceptored shifts for unit(s) specific to NGG hire, to support the transition of the new graduate into practice
- Regular check-ins and mentorship with the Nurse Educator
Participation in the NGG program is open to nurses within 12 months of registering with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), as outlined below:
Canadian educated nurses who:
- Graduated with a baccalaureate degree in nursing or a diploma from a practical nursing program in Canada;
- Match with an employer on the NGG online portal within 12 months of registering with the CNO; and
- Commit to accepting full-time employment or the equivalent of full-time hours with their NGG employer after completing the NGG program transition into practice period.
Internationally educated nurses (IENs) who:
- Completed their nursing education outside of Canada;
- Match with an employer on the NGG online portal within 12 months of registering with the CNO; and
- Commit to accepting full-time employment or the equivalent of full-time hours with their NGG employer after completing the NGG program transition into practice period.
