Job Summary
The Licensed Practical/Registered Practical Nurse is responsible for providing direct skilled client care under the supervision of a registered nurse. - Provides direct patient care
- Provides accurate, detailed, and timely documentation
- Conducts ongoing assessments
- Prepares, administers and appropriately documents actions taken specific to medications
- Performs all skills, treatments, and procedures competently in accordance with the provincial scope of practice
- Follows principles of infection control and Universal Precautions
- Current certificate of competence and good standing
- Certified in CPR
- Strong clinical skills
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray
- Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
- Excellent customer service skills
