As a member of the healthcare team, the Registered Nurse coordinates and evaluates patient care and provides nursing care according to the standards of practice for Registered Nurses in the ICU. Using a multidisciplinary and collaborative team approach that is dedicated to the principles of patient-and family-centered care, our team of Registered Nurses treat highly complex patients using leading edge treatment modalities including Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapies (CRRT). Our ICU staff also supports the Critical Care Response Team for the HGH, bringing highly skilled, specialized, critical care nurses, as members of a multidisciplinary team, to offer support and consultation outside of the ICU.
