The Opportunity: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role will be serving the community of POINTS WEST LIVING in STETTLER, ALBERTA. The LPN is responsible for ensuring top resident care is a priority, with a high level of focus in time management. We are seeking candidates interested in: New Lines: Part-time (Evenings) 1130-1930 - 0.40 FTE Part-time (Days) 0700-1500 - 0.45 FTE - FILLED Part-time (Days) 0700-1200 - 0.48 FTE - FILLED Part-time (Evenings) 1500-2000 - 0.54FTE Part-time (Days) 0700-1500 - 0.70FTE - FILLED Part-time (Evenings) 1500-2000 - 0.75FTE Skills and key deliverables that will take you further: A strong personal commitment to Person Directed Care Current familiarity with the Eden Alternative Philosophy and the Domains of Well-Being is preferred You are a patient team player - flexible, positive motivator, and professional role model Full-bodied organizational, communication, and time management skills Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills, deal effectively with difficult or crisis situations Always maintain the highest level of professionalism Able to coordinate various business activities within the vision, objectives, and guiding philosophy of Connecting Care Strives to attain excellence in Resident, family member and Employee Care Partner satisfaction Friendly with a sense of humor and the utmost respect for all persons Knowledge of supportive living services, assessment, and care planning Lead the team to ensure commitment is understood in achieving person directed services Ensuring that care is provided in accordance with nursing best practices, our Well-Being Strategies, quality improvement guidelines, and regulations Growing Clinical Mentor Care Partner skills to be effective advocates for the Residents in helping them achieve the highest practicable physical, mental, and spiritual well-being possible Performs duties and services required, and Supports the Resident's lifestyle in accordance with the Resident's individualized Care Plan as authorized by Homecare Provides medication assistance to the Residents, according to current Well-Being Strategies Mentors and delegates nursing tasks to Care Partners as per accepted practice standards and Wellness Strategies Identifies health, safety or maintenance issues, and reports as required Ongoing monitoring and continuous quality improvement and adherence to safe work practices Provide impartial support and excellent relationship building skills to nurture, understand, and respect residents, families, visitors, and external Care Partners to ensure the vibrancy of our community Liaising with Doctors, Pharmacists, Homecare Nurse, Manager, families, and any other people required to facilitate the highest care for the Resident Participates in ongoing educational programs to update knowledge on applicable topics Attains and maintains ongoing compliance with appropriate local, provincial, and federal regulatory standards Foundational knowledge and experience to grow from: Must be a graduate of a recognized LPN program Must be registered and in good standing with their related Licensing Body (CLPNA) Must hold valid certification in First Aid and CPR Prior to employment, obtain a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector check Why Join Our Team?Competitive compensation packageOpportunity for personal and professional growthWe provide an approach to care that supports the WHOLE person, that upholds their right to a life full of purpose, connection, empowerment, and possibility. *Read more about our philosophy Life, Health & Dental benefits (All permanent employees with 24 hours+ qualify for benefits & RRSP) Health Spending Account RRSP program with employer maximum % matching Looking for a happy corporate culture!
