We currently have a number of opportunities for Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) to join our Freeport teams: Rehab, Complex Medical Care, Low Intensity Rehab, Neurobehavioural Unit, Geriatric Assessment Unit, Transitional Care Unit, Palliative, Freeport Float Pool. 

How Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) support our teams at Grand River Hospital

At Grand River Hospital, our Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) are key members of our interdisciplinary teams. Delivering exceptional care to our patients and ensuring a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, our RPNs also:

  • Support and promote collaborative team practices
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and analysis of outcomes to identify opportunities for improvement and promote professional accountability
  • Consult with our multidiscipline teams to ensure our patients receive the highest level of care and support

 

At Grand River Hospital, our Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs):

  • Hold registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), or have demonstrated eligibility to become registered
  • Have successfully completed Basic cardiopulmonary life support (BCLS) training
  • Demonstrate exceptional assessment skills and the ability to function independently
