Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing
The Faculty of Health Sciences at Western University, seeks an emerging or established academic to join our leading edge Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing with a 100-year history of academic and research excellence. The School is one of six in a progressive Faculty and offers academic programs in nursing at undergraduate, masters, and doctoral levels. A new state-of-the art building for the School opened in January 2017.
The appointment will be Probationary (tenure-track) at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, or Associate Professor with tenure. The successful candidate will have knowledge, expertise, and a solid record of research productivity that supports innovation and leadership in nursing and health. Our priority research foci in the School are: digital health; women’s health; mental health, mental illness and wellness; violence, gender, inequity and health; and global and Indigenous health; areas that align with the School’s Strategic Plan and the signature areas identified in the Faculty of Health Sciences Strategic Research Plan.

We encourage applicants who appreciate the diversity of research, practice, education, and service delivery within Nursing and are prepared to take on the challenge of positioning the nursing profession for the future. The successful candidate will have completed (or close to completed) a PhD in Nursing or related field and bring a program of research consistent with their stage of career. In addition to research and scholarly activity, the successful candidate will be responsible for teaching across programs offered in the School, as well as service to the School, Faculty, University, and profession as appropriate. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The anticipated start date of the appointment is July 1, 2024, or as negotiated.
