We are a post-acute care hospital with 262 beds specializing in geriatric care. Our wonderful care staff works collaboratively in a supportive team environment to provide compassionate family centered care.  There a number of full time and part time positions available in –Rehabilitation, Transitional Care, Continuing Complex Care, Palliative Care, Nursing Resource Team, Behavioural Neurology. Current Opportunities for Part Time & Full-time

8 Hour Shifts – Days/Evening/Nights/potential to rotate (shifts may be subject to change)


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provides sound clinical knowledge and assessment skills, acts as clinical expert and resource and provides comprehensive, quality client/family centered health care services from admission, through transfers and discharge
  • Plans for, delivers and evaluates nursing interventions, including medications administration as well as treatments which fall within the RN’s scope of practice
  • Provides client-centered care within interdisciplinary care team to meet the personal care, activation, recreation and spiritual needs of clients / supporting their return to the base line functioning and discharge to the community  


Qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • Current registration, in good standing, from the College of Nurses of Ontario (‘CNO’) is required
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (‘BCLS’) certificate, Level C - Automated External Device (‘AED’) is required
  • BScN preferred
  • Previous geriatric experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to take professional accountability for leading, organizing, providing and delegating care activities for the unit, clients and families
  • Experience in caring for geriatrics patients with complex medical care needs preferred
  • Psychogeriatric experience, i.e. mental health assessment and intervention and working with responsive behaviours preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills
  • Basic computer skills – Meditech/and or Point Click Care, Microsoft Word and Excel, RM&R Resource Matching and Referral preferred


Total Compensation:

This is a unionized position with ONA.

  • Hourly Range: $37.93 - $54.37
