Every summer, Cadets attend youth summer camps to expand on their training and to network with Cadets from across Canada. These camps require the support of qualified medical professionals to respond to a wide range of healthcare needs from the campers.

Position Overview

Registered Practical Nurses are needed to staff positions at Camp Blackdown located at CFB Borden, ON. In this role you will run routine medical clinics, responding to urgent and ongoing health concerns. You will conduct assessments, dispense medications, liaise with other health providers, and provide health education and teaching, with a focus on ensuring the ongoing good health of the campers. Education on communicable diseases, responding to first aid concerns, and supporting mental health needs will be daily aspects of the role. These roles are best suited to RPN's with flexibility in their schedules to commit to working one to eight weeks every summer in the camps, with the opportunity to return yearly to the role. Qualifications

• Licensed and in Good Standing with the provincial college
  
• Diploma in Practical Nursing
  
• Valid CPR-C with AED
  
• 1 year of practical nursing experience
  

Additional Requirements

• You will be required to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Police Check
  
• You will be required to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level
