Nurse Practitioner

The Greenstone Family Health Team provides comprehensive, collaborative, primary health care to the Northern Ontario Municipality of Greenstone. This exciting work requires caring, creative, and enthusiastic health care professionals. We are currently seeking a full time Nurse Practitioner to start as soon as possible.  

Position Summary:

As a vital member of the interdisciplinary team, the nurse practitioner will provide primary care services in conjunction with all other health care professionals. Patients are at the center of our care and our focus is on health promotion, disease prevention and chronic disease management. Our goal is to assist patients and families to achieve optimal health and well-being.

Qualifications:

Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Certificate

Registration or eligibility in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario with RN (EC) classification and registration or eligibility with Nurse Practitioners Association of Ontario

Ability to work independently within the NP scope of practice, as well as the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

Sound clinical judgment with excellent health assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Proficient use of the EMR considered an asset

Bilingualism considered an asset
