Are you an experienced or new graduate registered nurse wanting to specialize within Women’s and Infants’ Health (WIH), but don’t yet have extensive experience in this area?

This is a great entry point and learning environment that offers full-time employment, extensive orientation along with continuing education and skill development.

You’ll have an opportunity to build your knowledge and gain hands-on-experience across multiple areas of care including Labour and Delivery, Mother Baby and Antenatal.

Successful candidates will be hired into and retained in a float pool. You will receive extensive orientation in Mother Baby program (including Antenatal) and Labour and Delivery unit. After the orientation, you may be assigned to one of the three areas of care mentioned above. To make sure you have the ability to maintain your knowledge and skill development, at least one day per week, you will be designated to the Labour and Delivery unit. This allows you to develop unique WIH skills, notably, caring of labouring patients, and conducting duties of scrubbing nurse in operating rooms or labour and delivery.

To help you feel confident and prepared for this role, you’ll receive extensive orientation along with phased transition to practice. This orientation will be comprised of classroom days with competency-based orientation to the units to which RNs would be floating.
