Registered Practical Nurse

Under the direction of the Administrator/DOC and in accordance with the regulations of the Health Disciplines act, the Registered Practical Nurse shall plan, delegate, and oversee care given by the non-registered nursing personnel in accordance with the Standards of Practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario. The Registered Practical Nurse shall preform all assigned duties in accordance with the Standards of Nursing Practice, The College Of Nurses of Ontario, and the Long-Term Care Legislation

Qualifications:

Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
Experience in a Long Term Care setting
CPR certification
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent time management skills
Excellent documentation skills
Demonstrated team leadership skills
Demonstrated knowledge and skill working with various types of dementia, delirium, mental health and other neurological conditions.
