We currently have a Regular Full-time opportunity for a Registered Nurse on the SUNPACT Ambulatory Mental Health department at Bayview.
Hours of Work:
Weekdays: Days, Evenings (once weekly 1230-2030); 8hrs; As per schedules
Weekends (once every 7 weeks): Days, Evenings; 8hrs; As per schedules
Summary of Duties
The RN is responsible for providing patient care and case management to clients in the community with severe and persistent mental illness, in accordance with a Patient Focused Care philosophy, and ACT Standards of Practice.

Qualifications/Skills
- Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or equivalent required
- Current BCLS Certificate required
- Non-violent Crisis Intervention certification required
- Psychiatric Nursing/Mental Health Certification
- Previous community mental health and case management experience required
- Minimum of two (2- 5) years' experience working with patients with severe and persistent mental illness in the community
- Ability to work independently, and interdependently within a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Thorough knowledge of psychotropic medications
- Knowledge and skills and ability to apply CBT, DBT and solution focused therapies etc.
- Valid Ontario Driver's License required in order to travel extensively within the catchment area
