The Opportunity: The incumbent is responsible for reinforcing and supervising practice and for providing technical expertise for students to learn and become proficient in the performance of skills as established by faculty. The incumbent is responsible to collaborate with faculty for the development of simulation needs and opportunities. The incumbent is responsible for the security, maintenance, cleanliness, and organization of the Health Science Laboratory (HSL), which includes inventory management through the annual budgeting process, ongoing control of inventory and costs throughout the year, and the preparation of purchase requests for specific simulation equipment and supplies. The incumbent establishes and maintains working relationships with counterparts from other educational institutions, simulation lab professionals, vendors, and other service providers.

The position requires daily contact with faculty and students of Sault College of Applied Arts and Technology.There is an expectation of frequent contact with community health care partners related to continuing education initiatives.

What you need to be successful:

Bachelor of Science of Nursing and current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in combination with relevant and recent practical work experience; diploma RN candidates with the desired experience for the position will be considered
five years recent health care experience
o minimum of three recent years in an acute care practice setting

proficiency in use of MS Office suite and other technology related to the operation of low to high fidelity simulation equipment
exceptional attention to detail
strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
This is a full-time support staff vacancy, Payband H - $33.38-$38.75 (starting rate $33.38), 35 hours/week.
