Nurse Educator - Stroke Program & CVH Nursing Resource Team
The Nurse Educator is responsible, in collaboration with Program Leadership for the assessment, implementation, planning, evaluation and supportive application of existing and new clinical knowledge and the translation of knowledge to practice.

What must you have?
- Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario as an RN or RN (EC), in good standing.
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing.
- Master's Degree in Nursing or Education (Required upon start or over 50% in-progress with expected completion date within 2 years).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.
- Minimum 2 years experience on an inpatient stroke program.

- Demonstrates ability to effectively identify need and facilitate practice related change.
- Computer literacy in a Windows environment utilizing Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Effectively uses empathy in interactions with others.
- Proven attendance record.
- Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.
- Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.

Preferably, your profile also includes:
- Member of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario.
- Minimum of three years relevant and recent experience as a clinical Nurse Educator.
- Comprehensive understanding of stroke best practices and experience with Accreditation Canada - Stroke Distinction standards.
- Hemispheres® Stroke Competency Series from Apex Innovation.
- Neuroscience - CNN Certified in Neuroscience Nursing Canada.
- Knowledge and understanding of stroke care across the continuum, including hyper-acute, acute inpatient, rehabilitation and stroke prevention.
