Department: CardioRespiratory-Cardiac Device (Pacemaker) Clinic

Status: Casual

Hours: Monday to Friday - 8 Hour Days 0800 - 1600 hours (hours are subject to change based on operational needs)

This is what you'll be doing:

Independently run a cardiac device (pacemaker, ICD, CRT) interrogation and reprogramming, advanced arrhythmia interpretation as well as cardiac device related education for the patients and their families

This is what you'll need to do it:

  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current BCLS certification at time of hire
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with pacemakers, ICD's and CRT's in Pacemaker/Cardiac Device Clinic setting required
  • Experience with high voltage devices (ICD's / CRT's) required
  • Experience in advanced arrhythmia interpretation, pacemaker care and advanced cardiac knowledge required
  • OR experience is an asset
  • Excellent organizational skills and flexibility
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment
  • Problem solving abilities and critical thinking skills
  • Diplomacy and public relations skills required
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development and a strong knowledge of policy and practice standards
  • Satisfactory employment and attendance record

Salary: $34.24 to $49.02 per hour
