Registered Nurse - Orthopedic

Using a client-centered approach, the Registered Nurse provides leadership in the coordination and evaluation of nursing care of patients with musculoskeletal conditions, digestive diseases, and general surgical patients; collaborates with interdisciplinary team members and community agencies to coordinate care and education of patients and their families; establishes and implements education plans with and for patients and families; acts as an accessible and knowledgeable resource for patients and their families.

Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse

Current Heart and Stroke Foundation course in CPR or equivalent

Minimum (1 year) experience in an orthopedic setting within the last 3 years

Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, decision-making, communication, organizational, problem identification and problem-solving skills

Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and shifting demands

Venipuncture an asset
