ROTARY HOSPICE STRATFORD PERTH (HOSPICE CARE AVON MAITLAND) NOTICE OF VACANCY
POSITION: PERSONAL SUPPORT WORKER Part-Time Position Must be able to work every other Sunday
POSITION SUMMARY: As a member of the interprofessional collaborative team, the PSW is responsible for the delivery of quality care to residents and family through the use of the nursing process within the profession's scope of practice.
REPORTS TO: Director of Resident Care (DRC)
DATE REQUIRED: As soon as possible
QUALIFICATIONS: - Completion of a PSW certificate with a recognized program
Current BCLS certification
Completion of established palliative care courses such as Core and Advanced Fundamentals
EXPERIENCE: - Three (3) years of recent palliative care experience; experience in a hospice residence setting or a palliative unit/community assignment preferred
REQUIREMENTS: - Two Step TB test and Vulnerable Sector Check
Covid-19 vaccination (minimum 3 doses)
ABILITIES: - Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing in the English language. Additional languages an asset.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
Computer literate and able to work with Microsoft Suite
Knowledge of Point Click Care documentation system an asset.
