Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care in compliance with the facility's policies, prescriber's orders, resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RN.
- Provide care in accordance to the College of Nurses of Ontario and other legislation.
- Seek direction from the Registered Nurse when the resident needs exceed the scope of practice of an RN.
- Provide ongoing resident assessment and appropriate documentation.
- Safekeep drug and narcotic keys in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies.
- Medication and Treatment administration.
Qualifications
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Minimum one year of experience in a geriatric, rehabilitation, or long term care setting.
- Knowledge of the Long-Term Care legislation, Long Term Care Homes 2007 Act and Resident's Bill of Rights.
Additional Requirements
- Valid CPR and First Aid Certificate
- Proof of immunizations and Flu vaccinations
- Three doses of COVID-19 vaccine
- Copy of valid N95 Mask fit certification
- Copy of two-step TB test
- Recent criminal background check with vulnerable sector screening
Job details
- $55/hr
- 8 and 12 hour shifts (must be available to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends)
- Willing to start working within 7 days of notice.
