Grand River Hospital welcomes all RN graduating nurses!!! After we receive your application, a Nurse Recruitment Specialist will contact you to discuss our opportunities in all clinical programs.

We also participate in the following Human Health Resources Programs funded by the Province of Ontario which the Nurse Recruitment Specialist will discuss with you.
  • Nursing Graduate Guarantee (NGG) Program - supernumerary position of 12 weeks transition to practice period with a guarantee of a permanent full-time or temporary full-time position. Open to new RN nurses who have registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) within the past 12 months from start date.
  • What you can expect:
  • You will be provided with a 12 week transition into practice period in a clinical setting which is supernumerary (above staffing complement) and will be designed to build on your prior education and experience in a clinical setting
  • You will be matched with a mentor who is available to work with you to support your professional growth and learning objectives
  • You will commit to accepting full-time employment or the equivalent of full-time hours with Grand River Hospital after completing the NGG program transition into practice period within 1 year of your start date
  • Opportunities open to both Canadian-trained and Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs)
  • You must be in receipt of a CNO licence (temporary or general) by December 1, 2022 to participate in the NGG Program
  • Community Commitment Program for Nurses (CCPN) Program - Program provides $25,000 grant funding to eligible nurses in exchange for a 24-month full-time employment commitment to Grand River Hospital. Open to nurses who have not practiced in Ontario in the previous 6 months of start date.
  • What can you expect:
  • You will be offered a permanent full-time position in a clinical program.
  • To be accepted into the CCPN Program, you must sign an agreement with the Ministry agreeing to a 24 month full-time commitment at Grand River Hospital
  • You will receive Installments of $25,000, paid every 4 months of completed employment
  • Grant funding is tax-free for the nurse

Note: Nurses will not be considered for both programs.
