Gastro Health is currently looking for a full-time nurse practitioner to join 16 providers and a dynamic support team in our Woodbridge, Virginia care center.

Woodbridge is part of the DMV region, located 20 miles southwest of Washington, D.C. With major cities nearby, quaint suburbs, great shopping, and entertainment, it's a great place to call home for our healthcare team and our cherished patients in Prince William County.

Gastro Health is the second-largest multi-state gastroenterology group in the nation. We are over 700 providers strong with more than 100 locations in 7 states. Our growing team of board-certified physicians, APPs, nutritionists, and technicians combine their clinical expertise and experience to provide our patients with quality medical and preventive care. We offer a broad range of ancillary services, including in-house infusion, diagnostic services, pathology, and pharmacy services.

Candidate requirements:
  • Active APP license in the state of Virginia
  • Certification as an NP or PA with prescriptive authority
  • 2+ years of GI experience preferred, new grads are welcome
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with other providers and the care team

Job Description:
  • Outpatient based, hospital rounding is possible
  • Monday thru Friday: 8 AM-5 PM
  • Full-time position

Core responsibilities:
  • Coordinate treatment plans for patients (under the supervision of physicians)
  • Order, interpret, and make diagnoses of lab tests and imaging scans
  • Record progress notes, instruct and counsel patients, and modify treatment plans as needed
  • Write/refill prescriptions appropriate for diagnosis
  • Review patient results, including pathology
  • Other duties related to the specialty of gastroenterology as assigned
