Shift: 11.25 hour shifts Days/Nights/Weekends

Summary:

The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the outcome of nursing care for an assigned group of patients, within the standards for professional practice in the clinical setting. The RN provides leadership within the Nursing Care delivery system. The RN is expected to work on all units of UT3 including complex medical/ventilator and palliative care. The RN contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Qualifications:

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current CPR
  • Minimum of two years recent experience in the areas of Complex Medical Care and mechanical ventilation preferred
  • Palliative care experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of clinical care needs and assessment requirements for complex medical, respiratory and mechanically ventilated patients
  • Advanced education in assessment is an asset
  • MDS Assessment training required
  • Good attendance record
