Contract End Date: March 31, 2023

Shift: ONA - 4, 8 & 12 Hour Shifts - Working up to 37.5 hours per week; Weekdays, Weekends & Statutory Holidays (hours subject to change)

Summary:

Functioning interdependently with members of the multidisciplinary team, the nurse will manage the needs of individuals attending the Covid Care Clinic. The nurse will provide support during assessment of Covid positive patients which includes taking of vitals and respiratory assessments. Also responsible for administering Covid-19 swabs, therapeutics and IV infusion, providing immunizations through vaccination as per vaccine protocols and mandates.

Qualifications:

Current registration in good standing as an RN with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)

Experience with large-scale vaccination clinics as well as acute care experience preferred

BCLS

Ability to respond to emergency situations by rapidly identifying priorities and responding appropriately

Comfortable working in an atypical health setting

Demonstrated assessment skills and the ability to function independently

Demonstrated teaching, communication, interpersonal and team building skills

Computer competencies (Cerner, Covax) an asset

Good attendance record

Must be comfortable working in a high risk area for COVID 19
Must be comfortable working in an atypical health setting (i.e. outdoors) or and site clinic

Competent and comfortable performing duties such as blood draws, IV starts and IV medication administration
