OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH NURSE - 6-12 month contract Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations (Sudbury INO) Sudbury INO places top priority on achieving a zero harm workplace. Our organization supports this goal with safety initiatives and programs that are incorporated in all aspects of our operations. Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources and Indigenous Affairs, the candidate will participate in delivering occupational health services which include but are not limited disability management, short-term and long-term disability case management, WSIB claims management, oversight of the Employee Assistance Program and Critical Incident Stress Management Team, coordinate medical assessments, health promotion and record keeping. The ideal candidate should possess a current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario, Certified Occupational Health Nurse or working towards certification with the Canadian Nurses Association, a minimum of 3-5 years Occupational Health nursing experience within a unionized and non-unionized environment, experience in disability management and knowledge of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act and the Human Rights Legislation. The incumbent must also have demonstrated excellent interpersonal, planning, organizing, communicating and decision-making skills. Computer literacy and strong program management skills are also required. Nursing competencies expected include: professional maturity; accuracy and thoroughness, focus on internal and external customers; organizational awareness; communication; problem solving; teamwork, critical thinking and a commitment to continuous learning.
