A Registered Nurse is required for the Eating Disorders Program. The Registered Nurse’s initial assignment will be the Eating Disorders Inpatient Program or Partial Hospitalization Program, although they will liaise with and support  all levels of eating disorders programming  as required. The successful candidate will be integral in assisting with individual, family and group clinical programming, which includes meal support and family-based interventions.

 

JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

  • Provide nursing assessments and interventions for patients within the Eating Disorders Program Provide psychoeducation to the patient, family and other health care providers regarding Eating Disorders Participate in individual, family and group clinical programming Offer clinical interventions and support, including intensive meal support, to patients and their families Support teaching and research activities Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and discharge planning Carry other responsibilities as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Vulnerable Sector Check                                                                                                                                                   (Essential) Current Certification of competence,  College of Nurses of Ontario                                                                        (Essential) Current CPR Certification                                                                                                                                                  (Essential) B.Sc. Nursing                                                                                                                                                                       (Preferred) Paediatric nursing experience                                                                                                                                          (Preferred) Experience in paediatric mental health                                                                                                                          (Preferred) Excellent team work and interpersonal skills                                                                                                                                (Essential) Knowledge and experience in the area of Eating Disorders                                                                                      (Preferred) Strong interpersonal and team skills                                                                                                                                               (Essential) Bilingual (English/ French)                                                                                                                                                                (Preferred)
