Hours: 37.50 Hours/Week; Days and as required
Status: Permanent Full-time

As a member of the multi-disciplinary team, the responsibilities of the Clinical Coordinator includes: utilizing and applying current specialized knowledge and expertise in recent advances of nursing practice to facilitate the effective management of clinical activities, providing education and training to nursing staff, the coordination of patient care across the continuum and continuity in patient care management; performing teaching/educational responsibilities to prepare patients for dialysis modality selection & body access referral; participating actively in Caring Safely and Quality Improvement initiatives; participating in academic and research activities/projects; performing administrative responsibilities such as maintaining specific data/statistics; performing cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of a recognized BScN (or equivalent) required
- Master's degree preferred
- Certificate of competency (licensure) from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S.) program, Level II Rescuer certification
- Up to three (3) years of relevant experience including experience working in an advanced clinical practice role
- Minimum Five (5) years' experience in hemodialysis nursing
- C Nephrology (C) or the Nephrology Nursing certificate
- Effective organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent decision-making and problem solving skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent teaching skills with the ability to teach one-on-one and/or groups
- Ability to function collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and/or independently Ability to work in a self-directed manner
- Demonstrated awareness of and adherence to professional and ethical standards
- Client service oriented, with the ability to effectively work with diversity and appreciate that people with different opinions, backgrounds and characteristics bring richness to the challenge or situation at hand
- Computer literacy
- Research experience preferred
- Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
