Summary:

Ability to function according to the job description of a Registered Nurse in the Rehabilitation Program. Contribute to ensure there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Qualifications:
  • Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Recent rehabilitation/medical/orthopedic nursing experience with a strong interest in developing rehabilitation nursing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to transfer patients with a disability and to facilitate optimal patient independence
  • Demonstrated patient/caregiver teaching skills
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate within a well established team environment
  • BCLS
  • Venipuncture and Cap BG competence
  • Ability to make independent decisions
  • Good attendance record
