We strive to be leaders in innovative rural health care, and we work closely with local and regional partners to promote wellness and provide access to essential health services, including Primary Care, Hospital (Acute Inpatient and Emergency Care), Long-Term Care, End-of-Life Care, Mental Health & Addictions Services, and Community Support Services.

*Position Scope: *

Rural nursing at these locations offers professionals the opportunity to use a wide variety of skills within an exciting and fluctuating environment. The RN has a unique role in promoting health, in preventing illness, and in helping clients attain and maintain the highest level of health possible. Also responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients, with predictable and unpredictable outcomes.

The Haliburton County Area has qualified for the Government of Canada's partial Student Loan forgiveness program for eligible nurses who practice in under-served communities. Casual and part-time positions will include a % of vacation pay and a % of pay in lieu of benefits as well as access to EAP and Perkopolis discounts.

*Qualifications and Skills: *

The successful candidate will possess a diploma/degree in Nursing and a current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario, a Certificate in Emergency Nursing, PALS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC and added nursing skills pertinent to Emergency nursing are preferred. Able to function independently and exercise good judgment.
