We are hiring for passionate, caring Personal Support Workers to work in our Attendant Outreach and Supports for Daily Living program to support adults with physical disabilities to live independently in the community.

Our service operates 7 days per week, including Holidays. You must commit to being available to work 2 weekends a month, both Saturday and Sunday.

As a PT Attendant (PSW), your responsibilities include:
  • Being punctual and reliable, our consumers depend on you and your trustworthy care.
  • Your role is mobile, requiring driving in your own vehicle between consumers.
  • Being comfortable delivering a wide variety of support services, which includes a variety of personal care assistance.
  • Controlled acts as activities of daily living (requires specialized training provided by Nucleus)
  • Part of helping our consumers will be some light housekeeping duties and meal preparation.
  • You will have regular and easy access to up-to-date job-related training.

Successful Candidates will possess:
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate from an accredited institution, or equivalent.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid Certificate.
  • Valid Driver's License, Auto Insurance and a reliable vehicle.
  • Successful Criminal Background Check and Driver's Abstract.

Key Skills and Qualifications we are looking for:
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport and trusting relationships.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrated respect and compassion towards all individuals served in our community.
  • Recent work experience providing personal support services to those with physical disabilities (MS, Quadriplegic, ABI etc)
  • Solid knowledge of the legislation, principles, and methods of providing support services.
  • Able to assist consumers with standing, walking, sitting, lifting and transferring movements - Able to freely lift up to 23 Kgs (50 lbs)
