Our corporate client is looking to hire foreign workers for the Personal Support Worker position in a long term care facility based out in Toronto, Canada:

You will be required to work in a Long-term Care Facility with elderly citizens.

The candidate will be working under the guidance and supervision of medical professionals, administering medication (if qualified), monitoring and communicating client condition to the Care Manager, transportation, house cleaning, personal hygiene, providing meals and other health and wellness related activities. The Personal Care Worker will demonstrate a commitment to best practice care, ensure that all in home care is provided in a caring and respectful way in accordance with company policy and procedures.
As a PSW in London you will:

- Assist in providing direct care for residents such as administering bedside and personal care, bathing, personal hygiene, and dressing and undressing.
- Assist with dinning services and support residents in eating their meals with the consideration of special diets.
- May perform routine health-related duties, if needed, which may include changing of non-sterile dressings, collecting specimens under general supervision of RN.
- Perform routine housekeeping duties such as making beds and tiding residents' common areas.
- Provide emotional and social support to residents/families, including palliative care.
- Work with multi-disciplinary team members to meet the needs of residents.

RequirementsThe ideal candidates will have the following qualifications and skills:

- PSW Program Certificate or Diploma that meets the appropriate standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, the National Association of Career Colleges, or the Ontario Community Support Association.
- First Aid Certificate, CPR certificate.
- At least 12 months of experience working in a similar environment.
- Has passion and serving heart for providing quality care.
- Knowledge and experience in care planning systems and documentation required.
- Ability to communicate positively with other staff, residents, and families.
- Good English Language skills.
