Job Summary

The Manager Home and Community Care (HCC)- Registered Nurse provides professional support and practice leadership to staff and is responsible for ensuring the provision of safe, effective quality client care within their program area.

What you'll do:
  • Manage Home and Community Care Programs and successfully achieve operational goals
  • Hold responsibility for employee hiring, supervision and training
  • Work with Community Corporations, and develop and sustain positive external stakeholder relationships to support the organization's vision and objectives
  • Participate in local, regional and national working groups or committees, such as Quality Care and Service, Joint Occupational Health and Safety, Accreditation, Recruitment and Retention
  • Guide new employees through the orientation process and complete probationary reviews
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with current and prospective VON partners, community organizations and more!

What we need from you:
  • Must be Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the province of practice
  • A minimum of 5 years' functional area experience and 2 years' nursing management experience
  • Experience in community work and working with community partners in a collaborative way
  • Knowledge of technology, staff onboarding, budget management, decision making, coaching, negotiation, and program and project management
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are required
  • Current Criminal Records Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Search and/or a Child Abuse Registry Check is required
  • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
