Novo Healthnet is currently looking for a part-time Physiotherapist Assistant to cover 11.5 hours at our Long Term Care home in Manitoulin Manor in Little Current, ON.
If you are looking for a career focused on helping people and working one-on-one, directly with clients, this is the right position for you. as a Physiotherapist Assistant (PTA) you will work under the supervision of a Registered Physiotherapist (PT) to assist in the direct care of clients for such items as: Range of Motion exercises, stretching & strengthening exercises, helping patients to walk, applying heat / ice / ultrasound / TENS / wax or another modality to clients as prescribed by the PT.
You will also conduct group exercise sessions and complete documentation and statistics about the treatments/group exercises that you complete each day and assist the PT with various other reporting duties.
Working as a PTA can be very rewarding, as you help clients attain and maintain their maximum possible physical health and well-being. You will be challenged in working with a majority elderly population, some with varying degrees of dementia, while surrounded by a team of health care professionals on whom you can rely to provide you with additional support.

Key Qualifications:
- Must have experience working within a long term care setting
- Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy or relevant discipline
- Strong command of English; written and spoken
