Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive, high quality, patient-centered health care services and possesses the knowledge, skills and judgment to provide competent, evidence-based nursing practice.  The incumbent is also personally accountable for his/her nursing practice and ensures compliance with professional standards and legislative requirements.  The RN creates and enhances an environment conducive to professional and personal growth and provides nursing care in collaboration with the patient, significant others and the multidisciplinary team.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications

• Certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario (or eligible).
• Current C.P.R. certification

Experience

• Clinical experience in the following section of Nursing: Medical-Surgical or Emergency Room   

Skills / Abilities

• Ability to work effectively as an active member of the health care team.
• Possess a working knowledge of both official languages.
• Ability to demonstrate competence in practice through the integration of knowledge and skills in order to perform nursing interventions competently.
• Patient assessment.
