Job Summary:

S.R.T. MedStaff is currently seeking facility registered nurses (RNs) and registered practical nurses (RPNs) to join our dynamic team! We offer EMERG, ICU, MENTAL HEALTH, and MEDSURG assignments in hospitals across the GTA and surrounding areas. The facility RN/RPN provides nursing care within the scope of his/her education and experience to patients in a facility setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to patients according to the written plan of care
  • Evaluate effectiveness of treatment plan(s) and adjust accordingly in consultation with the patient/family/caregiver and other health care professionals
  • Report/communicate observations to the appropriate individual(s) as necessary
  • Act as a patient advocate by protecting and promoting patient rights
  • Treat patients with compassion and respect, recognizing and valuing diversity
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and/or hospital information
  • Follow S.R.T. MedStaff's and the assigned facility's written policies and procedures
  • Work as a team player with other health care professionals and service providers


Qualifications:
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing
  • Minimum 1-year full time work experience as an RN/RPN within the past 2 years
  • Current CPR (BCLS) Certificate; ACLS/NRP for Specialty Nurses
  • Meet health surveillance requirements of the Public Hospitals Act
  • VSS within the past 2 years of hire confirming absence of a criminal history/record


Schedule:
  • Shifts are 8 and 12 hours in length, depending on the facility and their needs
  • Must be available to work a minimum of 4 shifts per month
  • Flexible to work all shifts (days, evenings, and nights) including weekdays, weekends, and statutory holidays
