As a member of the healthcare team, the Registered Nurse assess, plans, implements and evaluates patient care according to the standards of practice for critical care management of the acutely and critically ill patients.

1. Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse
2. Current BCLS and ACLS certifications required
3. A minimum of 2 years recent experience in Critical Care Nursing with adult patients
4. Recent experience with in the last 2 years in reading and providing the necessary nursing interventions for the following: ECG interpretations, pressure monitoring, airway management and mechanical ventilation
5. Demonstrated knowledge of patient care requirements and critical care standards for the assessment and management of the critically ill patient
6. Demonstrated knowledge of the nursing care and disease process within the following populations groups: medical, obstetrical, gynecological and other sub-specialties
7. Demonstrated knowledge of the nursing care planning, evidence of effective problem-solving and critical thinking in critical care management of critical care patients
8. Demonstrated effective interpersonal, communication, teamwork and leadership skills
9. Demonstrated ability to perform appropriately in high stress clinical situations
