At Humber River Hospital we continue to advance the important role we play as we advocate for healthcare initiatives in the diverse community we serve. In December 2017, the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (MOHLTC), in partnership with multiple hospitals in the Greater Toronto Area, will be opening a new Reactivation Care Centre - Central LHIN Hospitals Collaboration (RCC).

Humber River will be one of the occupying hospitals at this site and as such, we are hiring a Registered Nurses (RN) to work in our newly designated Finch- Reactivation Care Centre facility.

Hourly Rate Range:
$32.21 - $46.11
Schedule Requirements: 8 and 12 hour rotating shifts, days, nights, evenings and week-ends
Location: Reactivation Care Centre - 2111 Finch Avenue (subject to change)

Position Responsibilities:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) responsibilities.
  • Care planning and coordination of care with interdisciplinary team members.
  • Utilization of computerized systems for patient care documentation.
  • Participation in project teams or hospital committees as required.
  • Resource/team leader responsibilities.
  • Mentorship of new hires and pre-grad nursing students.


Qualifications:
  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Current BCLS or demonstrated competency required.
  • 2 years of recent acute medicine and senior's care experience.
  • Critical thinking and prioritization skills required.
  • Demonstrated excellent physical assessment skills required.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set priorities, solve problems with evidence-based decision making practices and resolve conflicts in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Proven experience promoting family centered care with patient/family teaching skills.
  • Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team, patients, family members and visitors.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organization skills with an ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
