Job Description
Full-time physician assistant (PA), registered nurse (RN) or international medical graduate (IMG) for private medical clinic in Downtown Toronto ***

Job Description:

To provide excellent quality medical care in accordance with the clinic's policies, and to assist the clinic physicians in delivering professional and clinical services to patients.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide friendly, safe, and excellent quality medical and nursing care to patients
  • Utilize proper medical processes to provide injections including immunizations to patients of all ages; and to provide treatments (start IV's and do bloodwork) under the direction of the physicians
  • Perform ECGs, spirometry tests, Pap tests, bloodwork and various clinical assessments (training available)
  • Implement medical directives under the physicians' instructions including immunization injections and infusion treatments; ordering medications
  • Produce clinical documentation and reports using electronic medical recording (EMR) system in a timely manner, in accordance with the clinic's procedures and standards of practice of the CNO
  • Support clinic physicians, and other administrative staff to deliver best patient care
  • Arrange specialists referral appointments and inform patients accordingly
  • General office duties as needed, such as handling patient inquiries over the phone and in-person, and appointment bookings
  • Adherence to infection control protocols, including Public Health control measures on COVID-19

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant with current license in good standing; International Medical Graduate considered
  • Minimal 2-3 years work experience, with proven organizational and critical thinking skills - prioritization of patient needs
  • Knowledge of principles of chronic disease management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills; and commitment to patient care
  • Ability to work in a busy clinical environment with attention to details
  • Proficiency with computers, EMR, and other office equipments
  • Commitment to continuing professional development
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance levels with good disciplinary history, reflected from positive work references (references required)
  • As a condition of employment, all prospective employees will be required to undertake a Vulnerable Sector Screening with Police Services
