Each of our facilities (Toronto General Hospital, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Toronto Western Hospital and Toronto Rehabilitation Institute) makes a unique contribution to the whole. Together, we create something far greater than the sum of our parts.

The Emergency Department is state-of-the-art with 25 acute care beds, 14 of which are equipped for cardiac monitoring. There is a ''Fast Track'' area to assess non-urgent patients. The multidisciplinary staff provide 24-hour service to meet the emergency care needs of approximately 48,000 adults per year. A CT scan has been installed in the department. The electronic whiteboard, a communication tool for staff, identifies the location of patients and is an excellent tool for reviewing patient record lab results and the status of all radiological procedures.
