Personal Support Worker

REQUIREMENTS:

DUTIES:

Delivers personal care to promote comfort and safety for the residents during ADL
Assists in the nursing process by observing and reporting condition of resident
Knows the guidelines of care for his / her residents as outlined in resident care plans, gives nursing care according to these guidelines.
Provides cognitive, social and emotional support to residents
Assists the resident with use and care of adaptive / prosthetic devices
Promotes independence for residents
Participates as a team member in co-operation with our departments to ensure quality care of the residents (multidisciplinary concept)
Report any concerns change of condition to charge RPN/UCP
Documents accurately and legibly on daily records reflecting residents' condition, care and specific needs
Demonstrates safety consciousness by maintaining a clean safe work environment, practicing good body mechanics and lift/transfer techniques
Able to maintain a good attendance record
Attends In-services
Any other duties as assigned
