Registered Nurse, Nursing Reserve Unit

JOB SUMMARY:
The Nursing Reserve Unit (NRU) is looking for nurses who are passionate about providing excellent patient care.  As a member of this dynamic team you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of diverse inpatient and outpatient units providing care to patients across the lifespan.  This position provides the opportunity to “learn and grow as you go” through the supports provided on each unit.  If you are looking for variety and something new each day, then the Nursing Reserve Unit is the right place for you.

Education:
•    Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario required 
•    Current BCLS required
•    Current ACLS preferred
•    Coronary Care Leve 1 & 2 or equivalency preferred
•    PALS preferred
•    NRP preferred 
•    Participation in RNAO preferred

Experience:
•    Sound knowledge of nursing process and responsibilities of profession
•    Functions independently within scope of practice

Competencies:
•    Sound problem solving, communication (oral and written), conflict resolution and decision making skills
•    Excellent organizational skills
•    Arrhythmia interpretation skills preferred
•    Demonstrated commitment to the professional growth and development of self and others
•    Demonstrated commitment to the concepts of Continuous Quality Improvement and Customer Service
