Registered Practical Nurse - RPN

Meridian Home Care is an award winning service provider that delivers friendly and positive one-on-one care and support to people living in the Durham Region Ontario. (Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa, Courtice, Bowmanville, Clarington)

As a Meridian Home Care Registered Practical Nurse you will be required to:

• To work in the community as well as facilities such as Long-Term Care homes and hospitals.
• To provide 1-on-1 nursing care, carry out nursing treatments, administer medications, taking vital signs, blood pressure, charting and assist with activities of daily living to further support independence and well-being.
• Bring a positive and friendly attitude.

Education & Qualifications:

• Current active registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Diploma from a recognized RPN program.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Maintains competence relative to current practices.
• Excellent assessment and clinical skills
• Demonstrated ability in providing patient-focused care
• Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Effective conflict management and problem-solving skill
• Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
• Demonstrates excellent organizational skills, able to prioritize and multi-task efficiently.
• Current Knowledge of Ontario Public Health Standards.
• Criminal Records Check (Vulnerable Sector)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Valid driver's license and vehicle
