Job Description
Place of Employment: Long term Care , Facility needs heroes during COVID-19 outbreak.
Accountable to Supervisor or Nurse-in-Charge.
Job Summary: It should be noted that emphasis is for the PSW to involve the client in the care program to help provide the client with the basic standards of healthy living as follows:
Work Hours: Day, Evening and Night shift (Every other Weekend)
Duties:
Qualifications:
1. Personal Support Worker certificate
2. Experience working with seniors
3. Current CPR and First Aid
4. Vulnerable Sector police check required
5. Able to work in a stressful environment.
6. Truly passionate about providing excellent care
7. Enthusiasm about promoting and maintaining health
8. Well-developed interpersonal skills
9. Attention to detail and a willingness to go the extra mile for your clients
10. A positive attitude
11. Respectful and reliable

- Providing personal care, hygiene, and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, skin care, light meal preparation, feeding, etc)
- Utilize therapeutic communication by establishing a working relationship with resident/families and co-workers for the purpose of meeting the resident's needs; ensuring respect, dignity, individuality of each resident and staff member.
- Deliver effective and efficient resident-focused care that promotes resident/family choices and acknowledges the residents strength, limitations as well as their need for safety.
