Job Description

 

HealthPRO is seeking a result driven, business-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Clinical Services team in the Mississauga office.The successful candidate will be a skilled professional with current/recent product knowledge and experience in Wound/Ostomy Care; and Infection Prevention and Control.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Clinical risk assessment for the development of contract strategies
  • Utilize clinical expertise and judgement in advising on all contract matters
  • Conducting clinical market research
  • Developing clinical product specifications/criteria
  • Validating product descriptions
  • Reviewing product qualification posting documents (Request for Qualification (RFQ))
  • Analyzing sales data and managing supplier information webinars
  • Leading product pre-qualification and clinical presentations
  • Supporting product implementation/conversion

Qualifications

 

The ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of the Canadian health care system, preferably with some prior exposure to procurement.

  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • 2 years minimum experience in Wound Care/Ostomy and/or IPAC experience in an Acute Care setting is required
  • Certification in advanced wound care (AWCC) an asset
  • Previous experience with clinical product trials/evaluations; product conversion and participation in department/hospital-wide projects
  • Experience with Advanced Wound Care, Allied Health (e.g. OT, PT products etc.) and Infection Prevention and Control (e.g. personal protective equipment, isolation products etc.) as asset

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities and timelines
  • Experience with MS Excel considered an asset
