Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing
The Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing, Western University, seeks an accomplished academic to join us as we celebrate nearly a century of academic and research excellence (2020). As the successful candidate, you will have attained a PhD in Nursing (or related discipline), and have established a nationally/internationally recognized, independent, robust research program in your preferred field of study. You will have earned an outstanding reputation mentoring and teaching in graduate and/or undergraduate programs.
Applicants will be Registered Nurses (Regular or Extended class) who are eligible to apply for approval, or have been approved to practice with no restrictions, with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). The appointment will be at the rank of Full Professor with Tenure. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2019 or as negotiated. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The successful candidate’s research program will align with the overarching construct of Health Equity and be congruent with one or more priority research areas in the School:
- Digital Health
- Women’s Health
- Mental Health and Wellness
- Global and Indigenous Health and/or
- Violence, Gender and Health
The successful candidate’s research interests will parallel the School of Nursing’s Strategic Plan (2018-2023) and those signatures areas related to the Faculty of Health Sciences’ Strategic Plan (https://www.uwo.ca/fhs/about/strategic_plan.html). Specifically, the areas of health systems and health policy are of particular interest at this time.
