As the Nurse Manager you would be a vital part of the Dental Surgery Care Unit (DSCU), a state of the art facility with 2 surgical suites and 6 recovery bays, within the Department of Dentistry

You would be working alongside our future learners while being responsible for the coordination and daily operation of this surgical unit.  You would be responsible for scheduling, ordering of supplies and drugs, monitoring the maintenance and repair of equipment, participation in in developing policies that govern the use of this facility, patient care and participation in planning for the future of this facility.  In order to provide the best care for our patients, you will promote the smooth flow of patient care activities by assigning, adjusting, and overseeing work assignments of Direct Care Providers and support staff; supervise and train staff; maintain a safe working environment and advocate for the rights of patients, families and staff.

The successful candidate will have a BScN, current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and training in OR and PACU nursing. You will also hold current certification in CPR, ACLS and First Aid training. The successful candidate will have 5 years’ experience working in an Operating and Recovery Room.  

This position is based on a 25 hour work week and salary to commensurate with experience.
