Albright Manor is a not-for-profit, 231 bed, Long Term Care Home.  Our modern Home is beautifully situated on the bench of the Niagara escarpment, in the town of Beamsville, located between the cities of Hamilton and St. Catharines.  Albright Manor is part of the larger senior’s campus known as Albright Centre.

Position Summary:

The Director of Nursing and Personal Care is accountable to the Chief Executive Officer, for the delivery of safe, optimal care and services based on legislative requirements and best practices.

As the Director of Nursing and Personal Care, you will have responsibility, in conjunction with the Chief Executive Officer, for the effective leadership and management of the nursing and personal care department of Albright Manor.  Your focus will be on ensuring the efficient utilization of human, physical, and financial resources, in order to meet or exceed the quality care standards for the nursing and personal care programs and services, while managing risks effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from a recognized School of Nursing, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Experience in nursing management in a long-term care, continuing care, or rehabilitation facility
  • Two or more years related management experience
  • Knowledge of current principles and practices of nursing management and administration
  • Applied knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Excellent negotiating, conflict resolution, project management, strategic, analytical, problem solving skills, and communication skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal, public, labour and human relations skills
  • Effective decision making skills, demonstrating results oriented leadership
  • Proficiency in using various computer applications, including MS Office, RAI-MDS 2.0
