Under the supervision of a Director of Clinical Services, the Nursing Manager functions as a member of an interprofessional team, working in collaboration with other health care professionals to enhance the provision of accessible, quality health care services for vulnerable clients. This Nursing Manager will provide comprehensive health care using a harm reduction approach for individuals living with a serious and persistent mental illness and/or substance use disorder who are clients of CMHA Ottawa. Responsibilities include and not limited to: advanced health assessment, screening, diagnosis, health promotion, chronic disease management, client & family education, and clinical therapeutics. Interwoven into this position is management responsibility which involves overseeing the nursing team, as well as providing leadership for the agency in evidence-based program development, staff education, and health-related quality improvement and accreditation initiatives.
