Registered Nurses - OR, ICU, ED, Float Team, Inpatient Care

We are recruiting for new team members to help us continue in our mission to serve our community with kindness, passion, courage, and teamwork.

We are currently looking for Registered Nurses in a number of departments, including:

  • Operating Room
  • Float Team
  • Intensive Care Unit
  • Emergency Department
  • Inpatient Care

What we are looking for:

  • Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • BScN preferred, minimum completion of Diploma in Nursing
  • Current BCLS certification
  • Recent clinical experience preferred
  • Courses related to specific unit as required:
    • Operating Room
      • Perioperative certificate (required) – C.N.A. (preferred) 
      • Completion of OR training courses 
      • Recent OR Experience 
      • Recovery Room experience
      • E.C.G. interpretation preferred
      • Experience with arterial lines and central lines maintenance preferred
      • Experience in a critical care setting preferred
      • Experience with mechanical ventilation preferred
      • Required to work in multiple departments and do transfers
    • Intensive Care Unit
      • Current certification with the College of Nurses of Ontario 
      • Coronary Care Level 1 (required), Level II (preferred) 
      • ACLS Certification or to be completed within 3 months  
      • Experience with arterial lines and central lines maintenance 
      • Experience in a critical care setting (preferred) 
      • Completion of Critical Care Certificate (preferred) or commitment to enrolment and completion within 6 months 
      • Experience with mechanical ventilation (preferred) 
    • Emergency
      • PALS or ENPC course (preferred) 
      • Experience with pediatrics (preferred)  
      • Able to work independently under medical directives  
      • Critical Care or Emergency Room courses (asset)  
      • Coronary Care course – Level 1 or equivalent   
      • Trauma Management course (TNCC) or equivalent (preferred)  
      • IV Therapy initiation and maintenance (Parenteral Therapy)   
      • Delegated Controlled Act – Defibrillation   
      • CPR certification  
      • ACLS certification and experience
      • Medical Directives certification in 6 months (Medical Directives certification to be completed within 6 months of hire) 
      • CTAS Triage Certified in 6 months (preferred) (CTAS Triage Certified to be completed within 6 months of hire) 
      • 1-2 years recent Emergency Room experience (preference will be given to those candidates with Emergency Department experience) 
      • Current certification CTAS training/experience (preferred)  
    • Med/Surg & Paediatrics
      • NRP required
      • ENPC required
      • Management of Aggressive Behavior or equivalent preferred
      • Certificate in Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA) preferred
      • Baby Friendly Initiative 20-hour breastfeeding course required
      • Recent Medical/Surgical and Paediatric experience preferred
    • Complex Continuing Care, Palliative, & Rehab
      • Certificate in Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA) preferred
      • Recent Palliative Care and Rehabilitation Experience preferred
      • LEAP training preferred
      • Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) Gerontology certification preferred
    • Acute Care/Telemetry
      • CC1 required
      • ACLS preferred
      • Recent experience monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms preferred
      • Recent Medical experience preferred
      • CCU
      • CC1 required
      • ACLS required
      • Critical Care Certificate preferred
      • Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) certification preferred
      • Recent experience working in a Critical Care environment, or equivalent preferred
